#PositivityPatrol: 10-Week Leadership Challenge
In these difficult times, we want to make sure that every and any girl can still feel empowered, and have learning and development opportunities. For that we want to make sure they still have opportunities to practise leadership, and collaborate with each other to make a positive change in the world. Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world can be a #PositivityPatrol, to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others.
Each week, we will be publishing a challenge, that we encourage you to complete, and share the output to your social media with the hashtag #PositivityPatrol and the specific hashtag of the weekly challenge.

Week 1: #TreatYourselfKindly
Positivity starts with yourself! When your days are a bit gloomy, it's important to #TreatYourselfKindly. 💓
For our challenge for Week 1, start with expressing your emotions as you want - this can be a drawing, a word cloud, a poem, etc. Find out who your go-to person is and talk to them about your emotions. Lastly, find out one thing you can do to make you a bit happier. Share your creation and your one happy thing with Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world with #PositivityPatrol and #TreatYourselfKindly. Good luck and have fun! Week 2: #ValuesIntoAction
Think back to your promise - how can you make choices rooted in our values and take action according to the Guide Law in these times? With our challenge for week 2, take a video of yourself making a promise of doing something nice and positive for yourself, others or society during this time. Start your video by stating your name and country, and "I promise to...". Wear your uniform, and do your salute/ pose your sign so your sisters around the world can instantly recognise you. Share your video on social media with #PositivityPatrol and #ValuesIntoAction.
Week 3: #UnderstandOthers
Understanding and taking into account other people's perspectives and experiences during this time is crucial - we all need a bit of empathy and compassion! Think about someone that you haven't heard from lately. Communicate with them and ask them how they're really doing. Listen to their experience and share how this has helped you to understand them better with #PositivityPatrol and #UnderstandOthers. Before posting anything, please check with them that they're happy for you to share whatever you are posting.
Week 4: #TheBestYou
In the past few weeks, we've all had to be flexible and adapt to this new context. Think about what you've had to change in your life so you could continue to learn, put yourself in other people's shoes, understand the big picture, collaborate with other and make a difference. Share your tips of things you can do to be #TheBestYou even when things are tough, and don't forget to use #PositivityPatrol.
Week 5: #LeaderLikeYou
Girls and women are disproportionately affected by this crisis. More than ever, we need to empower any and every girl to practise leadership, so they can come out the other side feeling like leaders with an agency.
Think about people around you whose leadership is inspiring you at this time, why they're inspiring you and how they can inspire others. Post a shout out on your social media with #PositivityPatrol and #LeaderLikeYou, so their leadership can inspire girls all around the world. Please remember to ask for consent if you want to post a picture of them.
Week 6: #PictureThis (Seek the information you need to seek the full picture)
The world seems quite gloomy right now - but that's not the full picture! Some good things are happening everywhere in the world, every day. Help your sisters around the world to explore the complexity of the world, learn from different perspectives and understand the full picture by sharing your favourite good news story from your local area this week, using #PositivityPatrol and #PictureThis.

Week 7: #ImpactFromHome
Part of being a good leader is finding imaginative ideas and solutions to explore how things could work better. This week, try different things to help others right now (following social distancing rules of course!) - let your imagination flow, nothing is too weird or ridiculous!
Don't worry, though! We understand that we all need a little inspiration and guidance sometimes, so we developed this Impact From Home Toolkit for you! Once you've found something creative that works, share it in any way you want with #PositivityPatrol and #ImpactFromHome.

You're not allowed to choose someone you knew of before this week!

Week 9: #InThePicture
The Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting Movement is a Movement where we all do our best to create spaces where everyone can fully participate. Draw a picture/make a collage/etc. to show who is missing from the conversation right now so they can be #InThePicture.
Week 10: #LearningFromMyself
It's now week 10 of the #PositivityPatrol challenge - which means it's been way longer than this since this situation started, and now is a good time to reflect on your feelings and experiences. Write a letter to yourself before this was your reality. Tell yourself what you would have needed to know before this all started, and what you have learned about yourself. Share your letter, part of it or the envelope if you're not comfortable sharing the content, and post it with #LearningFromMyself #PositivityPatrol.
