The Leadership Development Framework
Ethical, human-centred leadership is more relevant than ever. The Girl Guide and Girl Scout Leadership Model is a great tool to help us navigate difficult times and strengthen our Movement for the future. Knowing this, we are delighted to share the Girl Guide and Girl Scout Leadership Development Framework, as a supporting tool for the leadership model. The Leadership Development Framework can help us link our leadership development activities with the impact we want to achieve. We can use it to measure how far we are applying the leadership model, and to demonstrate our leadership impact collectively as a Movement.
Working with our Member Organisations
We hope all WAGGGS Member Organisations will consider using the leadership development framework to support their application of the Girl Guide and Girl Scout Leadership Model, and to evaluate and strengthen their own leadership development work with all audience groups.
Over time, by using the Girl Guide and Girl Scout Leadership Model to work towards these leadership outcomes, and measuring our impact, we believe the Girl Guide and Girl Scout Movement will be able to collectively evidence and articulate the leadership impact we have on generations of girls and young women.
We have a team of over 50 Core Mission Volunteers ready to partner with you on tailored projects to mainstream the leadership model into your work. We will be publishing a second resource pack later in the year, including activities and training tools you can use to share the leadership model with others, a personal leadership reflection journal, and an impact report on our work to date.
