Any Girl Guide or Girl Scout between the ages of 18 and 30 can apply to join the Global Advocacy Champions network. Global Advocacy Champions are selected for their commitment to gender equality, their involvement in Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting and their ability to lead, challenge and create a ripple effect.
Global Advocacy Champions have exciting opportunities for personal growth and development and to influence those in positions of power.

HOW TO APPLY
- Read the selection criteria, opportunities and responsibilities of WAGGGS Advocacy Champions in the Terms of Reference (Spanish, Arabic and French).
2. Gain support from your Member Organisation (a representative will need to validate your application) - see instructions for how to do this here.
------ allow plenty of time for your Member Organisation to endorse you as a volunteer before you move onto step 3------
3. Download and complete the Advocacy Champions Application Form (submissions accepted in English only)
4. Submit your completed form to globaladvocacy@wagggs.org by Friday 15 November 2024 at the latest, earlier submissions are encouraged.

69TH COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN
The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the principal global policy-making body dedicated exclusively to gender equality and the advancement of women. Every year, representatives of UN Member States gather at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Funding permitting a select number of WAGGGS Global Advocacy Champions will be representing the voices of 10 million girls and young women at CSW69 in March 2025.
