Our partnership mission
8 in 10 girls are so concerned about their appearance they avoid activities. We want to empower girls to reach their full potential by strengthening their body confidence and self-esteem.
The Dove-WAGGGS partnership
The Dove Self-Esteem Project has already reached more than 13 million girls worldwide. This partnership seeks to combine Dove's knowledge and experience of improving girls’ body confidence and self-esteem with WAGGGS' global reach and non-formal education expertise. We are working together to help realise our vision of a world free from appearance-related anxiety for girls and young women. To achieve this, we have created a non-formal education activity pack for children and young people aged 7-14 called Free Being Me. Since 2013, the project has reached more than 3.5 million young people in over 120 countries.
In 2017, the partnership launched Action on Body Confidence - a new programme targeting two age groups - 7-10 year olds and 11-25 year olds. Action on Body Confidence supports girls to plan and run their own advocacy projects targeting low self-esteem in their communities.

Dove is a leading personal care brand with a long-standing commitment to improving the body confidence and self-esteem of women. The Dove Self-Esteem Project has been developed to make real change in the way girls – as the next generation of women – perceive and embrace beauty, raising their self-esteem to help them realise their full potential in life.
Free Being Me
