Promise
The National Organizations in Faroe Islands have their own law and promise based on the original text of Baden Powell, and although the wording is slightly different, they have the same content.

Føroya Skótasamband: Eg lovi at gera mítt besta fyri – altíð at halda skótalógina – altíð at hjálpa øðrum – og í einum og øllum at vísa meg sum ein rættan skóta

Development of the Movement
The Faroese Scout and Guide Council (Føroya Skótaráð – FSR) is the national umbrella organisation for Guiding and Scouting in the Faroe Islands. It is a widely recognised and respected institution, currently representing approximately 1.77% of the total Faroese population.
The FSR operates as a federation of three member associations: Føroya KFUK Skótar (girls only), Føroya Skótasamband (co-educational), and KFUM Skótarnir í Føroyum.
Guiding was officially established in the Faroe Islands on 9 May 1928 in Tórshavn. Over nearly a century, the Scout and Guide Movement has become a well-established and highly respected part of Faroese society, making a significant contribution to youth development and community life.
KFUK and FS are active members of Føroya Ungdómsráð (FUR), the official Youth Council of the Faroe Islands, which represents around 50 youth organisations across the territory.
