From a Girl Guide to a change-maker
Valentine believes that commitment is everything and that true leadership means leading by example. As a Girl Guide, she fights for better nutrition and the empowerment of adolescent girls and women.
Najma gets school meals on the agenda
17 year old Najma Mohamed is a Girl Powered Nutrition Advocacy Champion in Tanzania. She joined the girl scouts movement (WAGGGS) when she was 8 years old. Encouraged by her parents, she started developing leadership skills at an early age.
Body confidence photo shoot
Group Leader Segomotso and her guiding group, The Kgato Girl Guides Unit, took part in the Action on Body Confidence programme by holding activities including a swim suit photoshoot to celebrate body diversity.
Stop The Violence Uganda
Faith, Joan and Melda are three young leaders taking part in the Girls as Drivers of Change programme, which brings 22 WAGGGS young leaders and 22 of Save The Children’s young facilitators together to learn about ways to tackle gender based violence.

ACTION PLAN and BUDGET 2024-26
This three-year Action Plan and Budget sets out how WAGGGS intends to deliver towards the Global Strategy in the first three years of its six-year time frame. It describes the key areas we will focus on and the results we will aim for, and sets a framework for better tracking delivery and impact. It provides a detailed budget of both income and expenditure for 2024 and a more high-level budget for 2025 and 2026.
International Day of the Girl (IDG) 2024
For International Day of the Girl (IDG) starting this year and moving forward, we will not be producing activity packs as part of our celebration. This decision was taken by the World Board, based upon the feedback gathered from Member Organisations in the 2023 WAGGGS Offer Survey.
