Sandy Thomas is Lead capacity building volunteer for WAGGGS globally. She has played a critical strategic role in supporting WAGGGS on the journey to increased volunteer delivery during 2018 and 2019.

Sandy invests a huge amount of time in designing the WAGGGS approach to capacity building and establishing capacity building volunteer teams to enable WAGGGS to support Member Organisations more effectively.

Her strategic thinking coupled with your wholehearted dedication to the Girl Guide and Girl Scout Movement makes you a leader who inspires and empowers so many others to give fully of themselves.

“Sandy is a leader who inspires and empowers so many others to give fully of themselves – she really leads from the heart. She’s always willing to help, to make time for others and to ask good questions to maximise the positive impact our work has on the Movement.”

Natalia Plou, Head of Membership & Regional Support
