Launched in 2018, the Global Advocacy Champions programme is a unique opportunity for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts aged 18–30 to strengthen their advocacy skills, champion gender equality, and represent the voices of girls and young women at the local, national, and international levels.

Selected Champions will join a global network of young women working to influence change, engage in international advocacy opportunities, support their Member Organisations and lead projects in their own communities. Champions will receive training and development opportunities covering advocacy, communications, public speaking and WAGGGS’ priority issues. They will have opportunities to engage in global spaces such as the UN Commission on the Status of Women. The 2026–2027 cohort will also include young women participating in the Girl-led Action on Climate Change programme.

Applications close on 15 September 2026. Please read the full Terms of Reference here (Spanish, French and Arabic) for eligibility, responsibilities, time commitment and details on the application and Member Organisation endorsement process.

Please find the application form here.
