“The WAGGGS Medal of Service is the highest form of recognition that WAGGGS can bestow and is awarded to individuals (volunteers or staff) who have distinguished themselves in their outstanding service to Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting at national and global level. The Medal of Service expresses gratitude to members of the Association whose service is considered to be exceptional, noteworthy and/or extraordinary in nature.”
Mrs. Moeena Hidayatallah is currently the Honorary President of Pakistan Girl Guides Association. Her commitment to our Movement has been shown globally during her period as a member and Chair of the Asia Pacific Regional Committee, having provided training to commissioners and trainers from 17 of 23 countries of the AP region.
Nationally, during her time as International Commissioner for 18 years for PGGA, she has demonstrated exceptional service to the Movement having organised and participated several different Camps as a Camp Commander and Director.
“During her long association with the Girl Guides, she has been awarded different medals and had the opportunity to represent PGGA at both national and international levels. During her term, Sindh Chapter won the Olave Award three times!”
Mrs. Moeena Hidayatallah has also been recognised for her work for the WHO immunization project in 1986 and contribution to numerous finance and fundraising projects.
