Maëlle Chapuis Mirol is a committed 26 years old youth leader and advocate for gender equality, ecological transition, and intercultural dialogue. She brings experience in non-formal education, youth empowerment, and international cooperation through her active involvement with Scoutisme Français.
Maëlle holds a dual degree in political science and European affairs from Sciences Po Bordeaux and the University of Turin, with a specialization in the governance of ecological transition. Her academic background has equipped her with strong skills in public policy analysis, project management, and international collaboration. She works in public administration on the ecological transition of small businesses.
Throughout her journey in Guiding and Scouting, Maëlle has taken on a variety of educational, civic, and solidarity-based roles at local, national, and international levels. As a leader, national trainer, and deputy WAGGGS international commissioner, volunteer project leader, WAGGGS facilitator and volunter She has developed expertise in project coordination, facilitation, and supporting young people in their engagement pathways. She is particularly passionate about strengthening the quality of educational programmes, enhancing youth and women’s participation in governance, and fostering inclusive leadership.
Deeply committed to feminist and environmental causes, Maëlle is also active in cultural and civic life. She believes in the transformative power of Guiding and Scouting and is dedicated to supporting Member Organizations in delivering inclusive, empowering, and high-quality educational experiences for girls and young women across Europe
