To all Friends and Supporters of WAGGGS,

We are proud to be able to celebrate the closing of another successful WAGGGS Giving Day. We could not have done it without you, and we want to say a very big thank you. We speak for the staff and volunteers of WAGGGS when we say your generosity and kindness made this day what it was. Your support has made this possible. This is a day that needs the individual to act for the Movement, and so many of you did.

Throughout an exciting 36 hours, we heard stories from across the Movement and saw generations of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts show their support, to create a more equal and just world for girls and young women worldwide. After the success of last year, the bar was set high, but this Giving Day still exceeded all expectations. With the help of over 257 Giving Day Ambassadors, we saw 466 donors from 40 countries raise £139,945 to help build a future where girls and young women are leaders.

It is through your generosity that we can strengthen the Movement and the 152 Member Organisations who are part of it. The impact of your support will be long lasting, as the funds you have helped raise go towards supporting projects in our World Centres, leadership programmes and global opportunities, so girls and young women can go on to be the brave and strong leaders the world needs. Thank you. You made a difference.

Yours in Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting,

Heidi Jokinen, Chair, WAGGGS World Board
Anna Segall, Chief Executive, WAGGGS
