Faten Farouk joined the leadership of the Egyptian Girl Guiding Association in the 1980s and was an active volunteer and leader, most recently as President and Chair of the National Board.
A passionate trainer and lecturer, she facilitated hundreds of workshops, training programmes and seminars throughout her Guiding journey.
Her passion and ambition for the Movement was an inspiration to many and, in 2019, she was nominated as Committee Member Elect for the Arab Regional Committee.
Faten was a devoted wife to Mustafa and loving mother to her two sons, Houssam and Hesham, and daughter, Ines.
