EGM Agenda and Papers

As you are aware, the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our usual working methods and the staff working arrangements which has inevitably impacted our day-to-day work.

Preparatory webinars – save the dates!

We are pleased to inform you that we will be holding two webinars for MOs to help support your preparations for the EGM. Please save the dates for the two webinars that will address the following topics

  1. EGM Logistics, Voting Arrangements and the Rules of Procedure in a virtual context on Monday 2 November from 19:30 – 21:00 CET
  2. EGM Financial Papers on Monday 9 November from 19:30 – 21:00 CET
    Please note that any questions on the financial documents should be submitted ahead of the Financial Webinar by emailing EuropeRegionalCommittee@wagggs.org, by the deadline of Monday 26 October. This would provide proper support needed, considering the Zoom time constraints. We will also be looking into providing a follow-up document with all the questions and answers for you to review after the webinar.

If a representative from your MO is unable to attend either webinar, we will make the webinar slides and recordings available as soon as possible after the sessions.

These webinars will be held online via Zoom. If you haven’t used this platform before, we recommend that you download the Zoom Desktop software, if possible, as this will enable you to fully use all functionality: https://zoom.us/download. You can also find instructions and guides on how to use Zoom here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206175806. Zoom login details and further details about the webinars will follow in due course. If you have any issues with accessing Zoom, the Procedural Team are happy to try to help you, please contact them via Europe@wagggs.org.

Ideally, the participants for the preparatory e webinars would be part of the delegation team for your MO for the EGM. Given that the EGM is taking place online and there are no participation fees, we advise MOs to take the opportunity to choose young people (under 30) to be delegates and/or observers for the EGM for better succession planning.

EGM Procedural Team and Tellers

As advised in August, the Procedural Team for the EGM is comprised of Jess Bond, Procedural Team Coordinator (from Girlguiding UK), and Elena Konstantinidou (from Soma Hellinikou Odigismou (SHO) – Greece). They will be joined by Barbara Calvi (from Corpo Nazionale Giovani Esploratori Ed Esploratrici Italiani) and Fiona Lejosne (from Les Eclaireuses et Eclaireurs de France) as Tellers.

Languages

Please note that the preparatory webinars and the EGM itself will take place only in English (with no formal interpretation). However, the agenda and all papers will be provided in both English and French.
