“The WAGGGS Medal of Service is the highest form of recognition that WAGGGS can bestow and is awarded to individuals (volunteers or staff) who have distinguished themselves in their outstanding service to Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting at national and global level. The Medal of Service expresses gratitude to members of the Association whose service is considered to be exceptional, noteworthy and/or extraordinary in nature.”

Natasha - 2016

Natasha Hendrick is a World Board member and previously Vice-Chair of the World Board for the 2015-2017 Triennium.

Since attending her first World Conference as a young woman delegate in 1999, Natasha has not stopped in her commitment to the Movement worldwide.

She has participated in WAGGGS forums, undertaken global research projects, attended Regional and World Conferences, and stood for election to the WAGGGS World Board in 2014. At that time, she brought to the Board a solid understanding of organisational governance and structure and committed to developing strategies to drive membership growth.

As a Vice Chair during the 2015-2017 Natasha provided exceptional leadership support to Nicola Grinstead and has further demonstrated her commitment and passion for Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting, using her wide experience, clear strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills to support strong governance practices.

“Natasha is always committed to delivering above and beyond to enable girls and young women around the globe opportunities to thrive and be change makers in their world.”

WAGGGS Medal of Service 2020

Natasha actively supports the Capacity Building Framework as it provides opportunities for Member Organisations to strengthen their own organisational structures and governance and increase member growth within the MO. She has been a key driver in Board projects including the introduction of the WAGGGS Value Proposition to drive membership growth.

Congratulations Natasha!
