The WAGGGS Western Hemisphere Region supports national Girl Guide and Girl Scout organisations in 35 countries and reaches almost 3 million girls and women.
Our Region is diverse in terms of culture, language and development, yet we are united by our Mission to "enable girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world."
The Western Hemisphere Region works with the support of volunteers, staff and partners around the world on a variety of initiatives and projects designed to achieve growth in our Member Organisations and reach more girls and young women.
Our Vision for 2020, that ‘All girls and young women are valued and take action to change the world’ is the driving force in everything we do.
Where are we working?
The Western Hemisphere Region works in partnership with 35 Member Organisations across North America, Latin America and the Caribbean to help young people develop life skills through self-development, challenge and adventure and understand the realities of living in today’s multicultural world.
