An exciting opportunity to play a leading role in working in the Project Coordination Team (PCT) and with the Big Six Designated Leads (DLs) to build on the existing comprehensive implementation of the EU Youth Empowerment Fund Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting framework.

Job Title: Project MEL Officer - GYM

Location: Home-based, from the countries where WAGGGS can provide Contract for Services. If the appointment is located in or near to London, they will be invited to work from the WAGGGS headquarters for two or more days a week.

Hours/ Tenure: Flexible, 28 - 35 hours per week

Salary / Fee : Dependent on contract, location and experience, as a rough guide full time, UK based salary for a full time role would be between £26K - £30K per annum.

Contract Type: fixed term, 18 month contract

Job Purpose:

This role will be working on Global Youth Mobilization - a joint initiative of the Big Six youth organisations.  Formed in 1996, the Big Six is an alliance of leading international youth-serving organisations. It comprises: the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), the World Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA), the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM), the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and , the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (the Award). Together, the Big Six actively engage over 250 million young people.

Since 2024 GYM has been delivering the EU Youth Empowerment Fund which provides direct financial support to youth-led initiatives focusing on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the local level. YEF is run and managed by a Programme Coordination Team who are spread across the Big Six.

This role will be hosted and contracted by WAGGGS but work as part of the PCT .

The Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Officer will play a leading role in working in the Project Coordination Team (PCT) and with the Big Six Designated Leads (DLs) to build on the existing comprehensive implementation of the EU Youth Empowerment Fund Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting framework.

About You:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MEL officer to join our team. This person will be responsible for designing and implementing MEL frameworks and tools aligned with GYM objectives.
