COP27: United Nations Conference on Climate Change

This November a team of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts will attend the world’s largest climate change event, Conference of the Parties, or COP 27. They will represent 8.9 million girls in 152 countries.

Congratulations to our six delegates who will attend the world’s largest climate change event, Conference of the Parties, or COP 27. Each year world leaders meet to discuss climate change at Conference of the Parties, or COP. This year is COP27. It will take place from 6 to 18 November in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. Climate change remains the most significant global threat to human life. More extreme and less predictable weather, food and water scarcity, and unstable living conditions all combine with gender inequality to leave women more vulnerable. Our selected delegates from África, Latin América and Caribbean will represent women and girls who currently suffer the worst impacts of this global catastrophe.
