NVIDIA is a global computer technology company based in Santa Clara, California, and the pioneer of GPU-accelerated computing.
It targets the world’s the most demanding users — gamers, designers and scientists — with tightly integrated products, services, and software that power amazing experiences in virtual reality, artificial intelligence, professional visualization, and autonomous cars.
Together with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and the Sangam World Centre, NVIDIA has created the Screen Girls program in Pune, India.
Screen Girls will deliver a computer skills course to young women who have recently completed secondary school education and who are preparing to enter employment. The project will be piloted with 400 young women aged 15-19, who will receive training on IT skills to strengthen their employability in the technology sector. Through the program, the beneficiaries will be empowered to seek employment in technology-related roles, traditionally dominated by men, and become part of a growing industry in India.
