WAGGGS is seeking dynamic, skilled volunteers to support WAGGGS as Capacity Building Volunteers.

Opportunity: Membership policy review workgroup recruitment

WAGGGS is looking for 3-4 volunteers to be part of the membership policy review group. 

The task at hand - Review the current membership policy (2020)

The current membership policy is up for review and the working group will take comments received since the release of the 2020 policy and work done by the membership fee working group. The workgroup will also need to consider and propose any constitutional changes that might be required as a result of its work. Should there be constitutional changes required, a final version need to be presented to the World Board for its review by mid-February; if there are none, it would be for a mid-April World Board review. In both instances, the new policy would be presented for approval at the World Conference in 2023. 

The working group will be a sub-group of the Capacity Building Volunteers’ Membership Development Team and will be working for 6-8 months on this specific task

YOUR KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of:

  • WAGGGS at the regional and international level
  • the different types of organisations that can be members
  • Fluent English, with fluency in one or more of WAGGGS' other official languages desirable

Experience in:

  • working with constitutions
  • developing policies
  • proofreading
  • Working with component associations or organizations with a federative structure’ or similar is desirable
