Every year, representatives of UN Member States gather in New York to evaluate progress on gender equality, identify challenges, set global standards, and formulate concrete policies to promote gender equality and the advancement of women worldwide.

Why do we attend?

WAGGGS has been attending the CSW each year for the last decade, using the conference as an opportunity to advocate for the rights of girls and young women and directly engage with decision-makers. The 61st session will provide an opportunity to speak out on behalf of 10 million Girl Guides & Scouts around the world and ensure their voices are heard on the issues that matter to them.
