The Her World, Her Voice Fund

The fund to support our Member Organisations to implement projects that will empower and engage girls and young women from diverse backgrounds.

The Her World, Her Voice programme is currently running across five countries – Rwanda, Nigeria, South Africa, Mexico and India.

With support from The UPS Foundation, we have now launched a Her World, Her Voice Fund to support other Member Organisations (MOs) to run their own projects on one or more of the following:

  • Diversifying their membership and reaching girls in harder-to-reach communities
  • Empowering more girls and young women in MO decision-making
  • Support girls to have their voices heard on issues that affect them

If you represent an MO interested in creating or expanding a project on the above themes, please consider applying for funding. Projects should take place May 2021-August 2022.

Each MO can apply for any amount up to 12,000 USD and are invited to submit applications by Sunday 21 March 2021.  A girl-led panel will be supporting with the assessment of applications.

  • Please note, it is not necessary to begin a new project to receive this grant – we are very happy to consider funding existing work as well as new projects.

Girls and young women’s participation guidance: ideas and inspiration on involving girls and young women in your project cycle.

“It is important to diversify our membership as there is a huge number of girls who are deprived and underrepresented. As one of the largest youth organisations in India, we need to reach to them. The efforts which we have put together for this programme will leave a great impact on lives.”
