UN Women

WAGGGS is working with UN Women on the Stop the Violence campaign. As part of this partnership we will be launching a new non-formal education curriculum on ending violence against girls.

WAGGGS are also part of the UN Women ‘Say NO to violence against women’ UNiTE campaign. You can see our action page here.

Recently WAGGGS were invited by UN Women to take part in the official UN commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Pascaline fromRwandaspoke at the event on behalf of WAGGGS. Read about the event here, and read Pascaline’s blog about the event here.

Plan UK and Plan International

WAGGGS are included in Plan’s recent ‘Because I am a Girl’ report, download a copy here.  WAGGGS are also supporting Plan UK’s campaign to end early and forced marriage. Sign up to their campaign here.

Soroptimists and YWCA

At the Commission on the Status of Women in 2012 WAGGGS hosted a side event with Soroptimists International and YWCA about Rural violence. Information about the event can be found here.
