COP21: United Nations Conference on Climate Change Brief

From 30 November - 11 December, world leaders will meet in Paris to reach an agreement on climate change and take steps to limit global warming. Four young WAGGGS delegates – from Sweden, France, Costa Rica, and the Maldives – will be in Paris to participate in the talks and speak up for the right of girls to inherit a sustainable future.

We encourage you to download the Brief for Member Organizations, which includes information on COP21 and how you can engage your membership around climate change. We want our delegation to carry with them the voices of Girl Guides and Scouts from around the world and are calling for all girls to submit a photo or short video with their message: ‘I’m asking world leaders to take action on climate change because…’ Girls’ messages will then be displayed for thousands in Paris.

Find out more about the call and what else you can do to take action on climate change on our website.
