Jen Barron (Australia) - World Centre ManagerJen Barron

I have been the World Centre Manager at Sangam since December 2011. I have a long history with Sangam, including being a Sangam Volunteer during Sangam's 25th birthday, writing the Sangam Song with Margo Browning and being the Programme Manager from November 2010 to December 2011.

I have degrees in both Education and Social Work. In Australia I live across the road from the beach in Tasmania and love to spend time doing all kinds of activities in or near the water.  At Sangam I live in the Guide House with Sonu the cat!

I am passionate about the work of WAGGGS and excited to have the opportunity to share the Sangam Spirit with you!

Carine Uwizeyimana (Rwanda) - Deputy World Centre Manager : Guest Services

My name is Carine, I am super happy to be Sangam Deputy World Centre Manager for Guest Services. I’ve been a Guide for almost 16 years now. My story with Sangam started in 2013 when I was a 12 week Tare, since then the Sangam spirit is with me. I knew that I will come back one day and here I am!

I have a degree in Law, back home in Rwanda, I live in the capital city Kigali. Here in Sangam I live in Guide House 4. I am super excited to be here during Sangam's 50th birthday celebration, it's such special time for Sangam.

I am looking forward to learn, grow, shine, share; but most to have fun. I can't wait to Welcome and meet you all!

Adele Lynch (England) - Programme Coordinator

Programme Coordinator - Sangam World CentreHello,

My name is Adele and I am the Programme Coordinator at Sangam. I come from a seaside town in the North East of England. I love to spend time outdoors and I really enjoy activities such as hill walking, camping and outdoor swimming.

Girl Guiding has been a part of my life since I joined as a Rainbow aged 5. For the past 10 years I have been a Guide Leader at 2 local Guide Units.

I have been very been very fortunate to travel all round the world with Girlguiding and I love the friendships that are created along the way.

We have a really exciting programmes of event at Sangam and I hope that you can come and join us soon! 

Clemence Joris (Belgium) - Screen Girls Project Coordinator

My name is Clemence and I'm Project Leader for the Screen Girl Project. I will be co-ordinatinClemence Jorisg a project that aims at equipping with IT skills young Indian women who are about to enter the employment. This project is funded by the IT company NVIDIA and we will realise it in close collaboration with our community partners and thanks to a group of amazing volunteers!

I have been a Girl Guide in Belgium since I was a teen and after that I have done loads of local and international volunteering.

I also worked in Brussels in the WAGGGS Europe Region office for two years, where I was acting as first point of contact for Member Organisations in Europe Region.

I look forward to meeting you in Sangam and experiencing together international Guiding in beautiful India!

Sarah Taylor (UK) - Operations Coordinator


My name is Sarah and I am the Operations Coordinator and really excited to be back at Sangam! I was a long term Tare in 2015.Sarah OP

I am originally from Lincolnshire, in the east midlands area of the UK, I joined Guides when I was 10, continuing until I was 14 where I became a young leader and then a leader with Rainbows.

After my Tare time at Sangam I travelled though SE Asia and Australia before settling in New Zealand, where I quickly became a Pippin Leader, so even though I’m from the UK I am a member of GirlguidingNZ!

I look forward to meeting and hearing your guiding stories, as well as having some fun together and making amazing memories in this special place.
