To make sure your group books on to the event that meets their interests and physical abilities we ask that group leaders read the Information Packs and Summer Events FAQ carefully prior to making a booking enquiry. The table below gives you an idea of the difference between the events to help you choose which events to research further.
All of our events offer adaptations to allow Guides and Scouts with disabilities to take part, see Information Packs for more details. Our events are open to Guides and Scouts of all genders.
Hiking Week and Walking Week (September)
September is the perfect month for hiking in the Alps, with cooler weather and fewer tourists but the same stunning views and great trails. We run two events over the same week allowing families, friends, and groups of different ability levels to join us at the same time. Walking Week is the perfect event for those with good physical fitness but new to mountain hiking. At the same time Hiking Week offers challenging hikes for those with mountain hiking experience looking to try out some new trails. All hikes are guided by our experienced staff and chosen to showcase some of the best views in region. Dinner and evening programme are shared by both events allowing everyone to take part in the hikes that meet their experience and ability level but still spend time together. These events run 12-19 September, full information can be found in our Walking Week and Hiking Week Information Packs and you can send us a booking enquiry here. If you would like to book on to separate events but share a room, simply let us know.
International Friendship Week (September)
This event for individuals, friends, and groups aged 18+ offers the perfect opportunity to explore Switzerland.
