'Kwantuni' – Kusafiri in Ghana - POSTPONED
ONCE NEW DATES ARE ANNOUNCED WE WILL COMMUNICATE THEM
Kusafiri events are an opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture of the place where we locate and to learn about yourself and build your connection with others.
'Kwantuni' - meaning 'traveller' in Akan (spoken in Southern and Central Ghana) will be hosted by Kusafiri World Centre in partnership with the Ghana Girl Guides Association at their training centre in Accra.
Our symbol for this event is the eagle, which features on the coat of arms of Ghana. The eagle is a sign of protection and strength and will watch over us during our event.
The programme will include a visit to a local Girl Guide group where you will interact with girls and a full day of community connections where you will see the action that Ghana Girl Guides are taking to make a difference in their community. You will get a chance to not only see but be a part of their amazing work.
We will take time to experience the rich culture of Ghana through immersing ourselves in activities including dance, music, art and learning about traditional herbal medicine. We will connect you with a local family and you will see first hand what life is like in Accra. There will also be time for a day to explore outside of the city.
In this packed programme you will experience regular activities that you would expect at World Centre events including an international evening, opening and closing ceremonies and a campfire.
Before or after the cultural programme why not work with our local agent and explore the amazing country of Ghana?
The Ghana Girl Guides Association are looking forward to welcoming you to your "Kwuantuni" experience in Ghana, the gate way to Africa.
