Roverway - 2018: opportunities for all Regions

Nominate a Head of Contingent and increase the international experience of your members!

Roverway 2018 offers opportunities to WAGGGS Member Organisations (MOs) of all Regions to take part in this amazing international experience.

Roverway is a large scale event for Rovers and Rangers. It is organised by WAGGGS, WOSM and Scouting Netherlands and will take place from 23 July to 2 August 2018 in The Netherlands. 

Rovers and Rangers will register in small groups of 6-8 people, via their MOs, and will take part in the activities as a group.

After the opening Ceremony in The Hague, Rovers and Rangers will explore different parts of the Netherlands. In groups of 40 people, they will participate in a learning path. Each path is different and they will be able to register before coming to the camp. Roverway will end in a central camp were all 3000 participants will gather together to experience the unity of the movement, and many learning activities offer directly by WAGGGS, Scouting Netherlands, WOSM and other partners. All activities are run in a co-educational setting.

Girls and young women can take part at Roverway 2018 by registering via their national association.

Opportunities for:

  • Members age 16-22 can be at Roverway as participants
  • Young women age 23+ can have a fulfilling international experience as member of the International Service Team (IST)
  • The leadership of the association can take part as Head of Contingent (1 person) or part of the Contingent Management Team (to help the head of contingent)
