Planning for a future of growth, opportunity and sustainability
Over the last days, delegates at the Asia Pacific Conference in Nepal have been working hard, giving their ideas and feedback to global and regional plans to give more opportunities for more girls, strong visible leadership, and sustainability of the movement. It’s also been the opportunity to comment on WAGGGS’ values and branding, to fit us for an exciting future.
MOs from across the region shared projects they have been working on, from Sri Lanka’s community microfinance projects, to Thailand’s work on the UN’s Global Goals, and India’s delivery of the global programmes Stop the Violence and Free Being Me.
A lot of fun has been had too! A wonderful bazaar was held, with fantastic goods on sale from across the region, raising over $5000 for WAGGGS. Everyone had the chance to let loose and enjoy a dance!
In the next few days we’re looking forward to a focus on the Region, and capacity building sessions.
