WAGGGS is recruiting for its 2020 Advocacy Champions network. This select group of young women will represent WAGGGS and their Member Organisation externally, at events such as the 64th Commission on the Status of Women.

Any Girl Guide or Girl Scout between the ages of 18 and 30 can apply to join the Advocacy Champions network. Advocacy Champions are selected for their commitment to gender equality, their involvement in Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting and their ability to lead, challenge and create a ripple effect.
Advocacy Champions have exciting opportunities for personal growth and development and will represent WAGGGS and their Member Organisation at external events, including the 64th Commission on the Status of Women.
How to apply
2/ Gain support from your Member Organisation (a representative will need to validate your application)
3/ Join the WAGGGS volunteer resource group
4/ Download and complete the Advocacy Champion Application form (this link requires you to login to the WAGGGS volunteer resource group)
5/ Submit your completed form to Jean-Ann.Ndow@wagggs.org

64th Commission on the Status of Women
The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the principal global policy-making body dedicated exclusively to gender equality and the advancement of women. Every year, representatives of UN Member States gather at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. WAGGGS Advocacy Champions will be representing the voices of 10 million girls and young women at CSW64 in March 2019.
