Call for WAGGGS Volunteers for Western Hemisphere

Come be a part of leading WAGGGS initiatives in the Western Hemisphere.

As the world’s largest movement for any girl and every girl, we have ambitious goals. In the Western Hemisphere, we’re seeking volunteers who can lead Regional initiatives that support Member Organizations and carry our work forward.

Opportunity

Join a Western Hemisphere project team to help plan and deliver international events and services to Members in our Region. Volunteers will be trained in the new WAGGGS models and have opportunities for development in areas like capacity building, communications, leadership, and tailored services.

Select volunteers will be invited to an activation event on November 16 - 19 at Our Cabaña in Cuernavaca, Mexico. If you are interested in joining a project team but can't attend the event, please highlight your availability in your application. Expenses for attending the event will be covered by WAGGGS. Please note this opportunity is only open to volunteers based in the Western Hemisphere.

Commitment

Volunteers will join a Regional team to deliver projects for 10 months, leading up to the Western Hemisphere Regional Conference in July 2019. Most projects will require an average of 4 service hours per week.

Perks

Volunteers will develop their leadership skills through a challenging, international experience and receive up-to-date training on priority topics for Member Organizations. They will also gain exposure as a leader in an international context and have their work recognized at the Regional Conference in 2019.
