As the world’s largest movement for any girl and every girl, we have ambitious goals. In the Asia Pacific Region, we’re seeking volunteers who can lead Regional initiatives that support Member Organisations and carry our work forward.
Join the Asia Pacific Capacity Building Team to help facilitate and deliver the Capacity Building Tool to Members in our Region. Volunteers will be trained in the new WAGGGS models, self-assessment tool and have opportunities for development in topics like capacity building, facilitation and leadership.
Selected volunteers will be invited to attend an event April 5 – 9 2019 in Taiwan. If you cannot attend the event and are interested in joining the regional volunteers team (for other projects), please apply and share more about your availability in your application. Expenses for attending the event will be covered by WAGGGS. Please note this opportunity is only open to volunteers based in the Asia Pacific.
Volunteers will join a Regional team to deliver the Capacity Building Tool, provide guidance and support with the self-assessment process for 6 months, leading up to the Asia Pacific Regional Conference in August 2019. After completion of the self-assessment process, volunteers will support follow up work with the Member Organisations to identify and prioritise needs of the Member Organisations, and recommend tailored-support to the Member Organisations. This will require an average of 4 service hours per week between April to September 2019, and as per needed until the end of the appointment in December 2020.
Volunteers have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through a challenging, international experience and receive up to date training on priority topics for Member Organisations and the region. They will also gain exposure as a leader in an international context and have their work recognised at the Regional Conference in August.
