Bharat Scouts and Guides holds National Programme Review Workshop

The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG), India organized a national workshop for trainers known as "SANDHAN" for the revision of its youth programme and training scheme in order to achieve its strategic priorities towards vision 2024. The workshop is held at BSG's National Training Centre, Pachmarhi from 7-11 May 2014.
A total of 56 Trainers from Scout Wing and 41 Trainers from Guide Wing from 29 State Associations of India attended the training which is guided by former National Training Commissioner, Mr Ranga Rao and integrated by National Commissioner Sh. B.I. Nagarale, IAS (Retd).
The workshop which is held once every three years will review various aspects of the youth programme that BSG offers to boys and girls. Prior to the workshop, BSG collated recommendations from around 500 members around the country based on needs proposed by youth members and these feedback will be taken into consideration during the workshop.
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) extended support by sending a team of facilitators to support the delivery of the workshop and introduce WAGGGS' new policies on Educational Programme and Adult Training, Learning and Development. WAGGGS facilitator team consists of Educational Programme Manager, Andii Verhoeven from United Kingdom, Development Executive for South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries, Asia Pacific, Prerana Shakya from Nepal and Educational Programme Resource Pool member, Melanie Ford from GirlGuiding, United Kingdom.
