It’s not every day that you turn 100!
That is why the Big Brownie Birthday celebrations happening this year are so special for members of Girl Guiding in the UK.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for girls to meet other Brownies outside of their unit and it even allows them to start thinking more about WAGGGS as a global movement. It’s also a great chance for multi-unit celebrations, get-togethers and Brownie Holidays!
Even from here at Our Chalet in Switzerland we can see the enthusiasm and the ripples that the Big Brownie Birthday has been creating!
Brownies from Cheshire, UK recently visited Our Chalet (a journey of 656 miles)! They joined a traditional campfire the minute they arrived and next day had fun snowshoeing, igloo building, sledging and making traditional Swiss crafts.
What a better place to celebrate the 100 years of Brownies than spending a weekend in the first World Centre?
These action packed events are a perfect time in a perfect place to celebrate your Big Brownie Birthday!
The activities vary throughout the seasons so you can pick the ones you like most. Nature walks, Swiss Craft, Games, Campfire, Fun Swiss night with Chocolate fondue and more.
