Welcome to your post event page, Education First Special Event participants! We hope you are all doing well back in the USA. Sangam is very quiet without you all ladies and guy here, but we are busy getting ready for Reach for the Stars Event! We have got 60 children coming from our Community Partners for a day of fun and we even have a surprise for the children!
I bet that brings back memories from your very super fast trip to Sangam! We can't believe how quickly it went!
You arrived with us on Sunday, had a quick dinner. It was then into national uniform for the Welcome Ceremony which brings Sangam, Indian and Guiding traditions together!
On the Monday it was all about teeth with the dentist coming to Sangam along with 84 girls from Green Tara Foundation! All the activities you ran along with the Gifts for Change participants were amazing, I bet you will remember the faces of your girls in the pool for a long time; laughing and having the time of their life! It was then straight into a 10 Million Girls session and then it was time to get into the Indian spirit; Sari tying, Mehndi, Rangoli and of course Indian Chai! We then enjoyed a traditional Maharashtrian Dinner and of course the famous Bollywood Dancing ‘Where’s the party tonight? Of course at Sangam!’
Tuesday you had a whistle-stop tour of Laxmi Road- the oldest part of the city. This was where some of you rode a rickshaw for the first time and there was even some Sari and Punjabi buying! It was then a quick pin and certificate ceremony back at Sangam and it was then time to say ‘Phir Milenge- We will see you soon!’
On this page, we have all the links for your exciting event media!
