Would you like to make a difference in the lives of girls and young women around the world? With ten million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from 145 countries, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is the largest voluntary movement dedicated to girls and young women in the world.
Sangam, located in Pune, India is one of the World Centres of WAGGGS. It is an international gathering place for members and families, providing opportunities to meet, share experiences and learn together. Sangam seeks a dynamic individual with a passion for people and a desire to work in a diverse international environment to be the next Programme Coordinator.
The Programme Coordinator will be part of the team and have key responsibility for creating, implementing and evaluating innovative and dynamic Event Programmes and Community Leadership Development Projects for our international guests in line with the WAGGGS mission, vision and the World Centres Programme strategy. Other duties include administrative tasks associated with delivering the programme of events, training and monitoring of volunteers and some direct programme delivery.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy working with others in an international team and have experience in programme planning, delivery and the management of volunteers. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential, with knowledge of other languages desirable but not essential.
This is a fixed term contract position with an immediate start for a two year term. The successful applicant will work on a rota schedule covering days, evenings and weekends. This post is residential for people outside of India and board and lodging is provided.
