Applications now open for Stop the Violence ACTIVATE event at Sangam

Participants at STV Rwanda event 2013Applications are now open for a Stop the violence ACTIVATE training event taking place at Sangam World Centre, India from 7-14 December 2013.

This is an exciting opportunity where representatives from Member Organizations can come to learn more about the Stop the violence: speak out for girls’ rights campaign. During the event participants will:

  • Learn more about gender based violence and discrimination through non-formal education activities.
  • Gain an understanding of the necessary safety measures to deliver Stop the Violence activities safely.
  • Develop campaign action plans to implement the Stop the Violence campaigns nationally by the end of the training event. Action plans can include the delivery of the Voices against Violence curriculum.
  • Experience Indian culture at Sangam World Centre.

SangamDuring this event participants will meet with others from around the world and experience international friendship in one of the WAGGGS World Centres. There will also be opportunities to experience Indian culture and learn more about the work that Sangam does with the community.

The event is open to both women and men from Member Organizations in all WAGGGS Regions who are willing and interested to work on the Stop the Violence campaign back in their home countries. the event fee is 410 GBP.
