As Dr. Babatunde Osotimehin, UNFPA Executive Director, stated: "This is a milestone, once in a generation, opportunity to ensure that the needs of young people - and in particular young women and girls - are given the focused attention they require to deliver a sustainable future for everyone. For the first time, the recommendations of young people will contribute directly to defining the new UN development agenda beyond 2015".
