Hong Kong Girl Guides Association is hosting an International Camp from 23 - 27 December 2011 in conjunction with its 95th Anniversary. The camp also aims to enable Girl Guides, Girl Scouts and Rangers to share Girl Guiding skills and international friendship. Below are details of the camp.

Theme: Plant, Grow and Share Date: 23 December (Friday) to 27 December (Tuesday) 2011 Venue: West Dan, High Island Reservoir, Sai Kung, New Territories, Hong Kong Accommodation: Under canvas with 1,200 campers in 6 sub-camps Participation (International Participants): Girl Guides / Girl Scouts or Rangers age 13 and above from Member Organizations of WAGGGS. Each group of 5 girls should be accompanied by 1 leader. (Maximum 2 groups per Member Organization) Fees: US$300, including:camp fees, tents, meals, camp activities, camp souvenirs, transportation inside Hong Kong and 2 nights accommodation in Girl Guide camp site before or after camp period Deadline: Please send in the reply slip on or before 28th February 2011 |
Camp activities include:
- Guiding elements: pioneering, hiking, adventure activities, fun time, local excursions and services
- International elements: time for fun-sharing, Open Day, parties, cultural activities
Participants are encouraged to bring their own sleeping bag, uniform, warm clothing (temperature about 12-18 degree C, can be under 10 degree), toiletries, and personal cutleries.
