For a healthy diet, I make sure that I have a lot of variety in my meals and try and to work on portion control. However, I have a lot of difficulty, as I know many others do, at refraining from grabbing too much to eat when at social events, such as Girl Guide events. I suggest we all work together to enjoy good food that is environmentally sound, tastes good and is supporting a socially sustainable food system and that will energize us to be active with our girls and the experiences we share. Popularizing healthy foods and menus through practice cooking events and exposure at dinners is a good way to learn about a healthy diet without too much work. |
