With ten million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from 146 countries, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is the largest voluntary movement dedicated to girls and young women in the world.

The WAGGGS Fund Development Team is currently composed of 6 professionals led by the Fund Development Director.  This dynamic and international team is responsible for raising funds for the World Association and to build the fundraising and project management capacity of WAGGGS Member Organizations across 5 Regions and 146 countries. The team includes fundraisers working with major donors, individuals, corporates, institutions and foundations as well as account managers. Serving a Global Organisation the team needs to consider global philanthropic and giving trends and adapt its approach to different national and regional contexts.

We are seeking an experienced person with a fund raising background to support the Fund Development Director, Chief Executive and key volunteers in the next stage of the individual giving programme with the aim of increasing funding in this area.  The postholder is also required to support the development of a portfolio of high value donors and relationships.  This role will include, but not be limited to, donor/prospect research, cultivation, visit planning and coordination of activities related to the legacy and major gift program.

You will have a track record of successfully dealing with influential individuals and business leaders to secure gifts, achieving income targets and managing budgets.  You will have strong influencing skills and the ability to communicate effectively in different means including the communication of plans, ideas and reports.  You will have the ability to strategically plan for the medium and long term as well establishing clear priorities to achieve goals. .
