Peru: Support adolescent health education for girls and families

The Association in Peru wish to implement an adolescent health programme. They would like to encourage adolescent girls to delay the start of sexual activity, emphasise the impact of pregnancy would have on their current lives, reduce the number of adolescent pregnancies and promote sexual education through peer education.

The aim is for young people to be well informed about sexual health, ready to make responsible decisions on when to have children. An estimated 700 adolescents will benefit from the programme.

This project has been funded in full by the girl guides/girl scouts of Canada, UK and Finland.
