World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts recognized on Top 50 list of ideas and solutions improving the lives of girls and women worldwide

8 March 2012, London – The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) was today announced as one of the 50 most inspiring ideas and solutions delivering for girls and women across the globe for its campaign to “Stop the violence – speak out for girls’ rights,” as part of Women Deliver’s International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrations.

In addition, the World Association this year confirms a partnership with internationalwomensday.com as their charity of choice, and Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world bring the theme “Connecting girls, inspiring futures” to life, with actions including Tweeting the #womensday hashtag, participating in a special webcast and adding their voices to the Stop the Violence campaign.
