Miss India Shreya Chopra Takes Guiding Oath, Becomes Brand Ambassador of Bharat Scouts and Guides

Bharat Guides and Scouts has been reaching out to successful people from different walks of life to spread the word about scouting and guiding – in part to attract more young people to the movement.

On 5 January 2018 GlammOn Miss India, Shreya Chopra, became  Brand Ambassador of Skill Development Miss India becomes a guidein Bharat Scouts and Guides.

Prior the appointment, Miss India Shreya Chopra took her guiding oath in the presence of Chief National Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Dr. Krishna Kumar Khandelwal. Dr. Khandelwal  briefed her about the guiding movement and the impact it has created  in India. 

Speaking at the ceremony Shreya Chopra said that the guiding movement  is the best platform for her to work on the ideals she truly believes in. Being a student of law, she strongly believes in empowering women and making them the leaders. She said, “I have shouldered a responsibility for great cause and I hope to inspire as many girls as possible.”

“The promise is guiding's essence and binds together all guides of the world.  A simple act like this can make a huge difference in young peoples’s perception of the guiding movement and encourage them to join.” adds Dr, Khandelwal, Chief National Commissioner of Bharat Guides and Scouts.
