Global Action Theme launched

Girls worldwide say “together we can change our world” is the new WAGGGS Global Action Theme (GAT) that was unveiled to Conference delegates. The new working theme is based on the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which aim to improve the lives of the world’s poorest people.

The theme for World Thinking Day 2009 will be girls worldwide say “we can stop the spread of AIDS, malaria and other diseases.”

Other areas of WAGGGS’ work will also be linked to the new GAT such as WLDP, Centenary activities and Advocacy resources.

There will be guidelines and a Global Action Activity packs and badge available to all Member Organizations to help them to take action.
