Learning tools for young leaders launched
8 July 2008
The programme’s main focus is to enable young leaders around the world to develop their own leadership skills as well as maximize the leadership potential of their girls. The WDLP will assist in promoting WAGGGS further as a learning organization in the global arena.
WAGGGS’ best practice has been designed in eight modules that incorporate theory with practical implementation of action items. Mantoa Dlamini, International Commissioner for Lesotho, who participated in the pilot of the WLDP held at the Juliette Lowe seminar in Sangam in 2006, says. “The planning team was young and provided relevant examples that I could relate to. The practical experience I gained at the seminar made it easier for me when I returned home.”
