UNFCCC youth and climate change publication now available in French and Spanish
25 September 2013
The United Nations Joint Framework Initiative on Children, Youth and Climate Change have released the publication 'Youth in action on climate change: inspirations from around the world' in French and Spanish.
The objective of the publication is to highlight concrete work young people do to incite their governments and the international community to scale up action on climate change and raise ambition towards a post-2020 climate change regime.
Climate change creates elevated levels of uncertainty about our future and amid this uncertainty, one thing is certain. We will leave the Earth to our children, young people and future generations.
Young people are increasingly aware of the challenges of climate change and many are joining the global dialogue on solutions, getting involved and taking action.
So if you, or someone you know, would like to carry out a project or take action to raise awareness on the impact of climate change, then this could be the perfect tool for you. This publication is a fantastic call to action for everyone, coming directly from the most inspirational people of all – our youth.
Congratulations to all the young people involved and many thanks for their inspiring stories!
