WAGGGS and the UN

The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) works with the United Nations (UN) and many UN agencies through volunteer teams in Geneva, Nairobi, New York, Paris , Rome and Vienna. WAGGGS established the UN teams more then 60 years ago.

The UN teams are made up of women and men who want to ensure that girls and young women have their voices heard at the highest level worldwide. They play a vital role to achieve the third goal of WAGGGS strategic plan for 2006~2008: to become the voice of girls and young women.
