Celebrate International Peace Day

On 21 September the whole world celebrated the UN International Peace Day. The Peace Day is an international day of ceasefire and non-violence, an occasion to strengthen the ideals of peace and to soothe tensions and causes of conflict. It is part of the International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World (2001-2010).
Peace has been a major theme for WAGGGS for many decades. We are currently working on a joint initiative with the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) on the Amahoro Amani peace project in Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo. We will soon be featuring our work on peace on our website.
If you wish to join in the global peace movement please download this electronic postcard in English or French. You can send it to friends, family and all of your sisters in Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting around the world.

Peace is not only the absence of war. It is a state-of-mind, and well-being: the Right to be Me. Achieving acceptance and tolerance is a way of paving the path towards peace.

اول شي احيكم بتحية الاسلام السلام عليكم
جمميعاً معاكم اخوك من كشافة مملكة البحرين
انه حبية اشارككم في في هذا المحفل واتمنى ان يحل السلام في جميع انحا العالم وانه كنة مشاركة في المخيم الدولي اللي كان في المملكة العربية السعودية وكان شعار المخيم ( معاً من اجل السلام ) وانه اتعرف على كثير من كشافة العالم وكانه بيننامحب وصداقه واتمنى انتحل هذهي المحبه والصداقة بين جميع انحاء دول العلم .
