Girl Guides and Girl Scouts helped to break record at Stand up events
23 October 2009 Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world were amongst the 173 Million people to gather at “Stand Up, Take Action, End Poverty Now!” events, setting new world record for largest mobilization of people in history. From Japan to Madagascar, girls were part of the successful campaign demanding governments eradicate extreme poverty and achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Read more...
