Juliette Low Seminar 2006

27 August 2006- 2 September 2006

"Values-based Leadership in an International Setting”

WAGGGS, through partial funding from the Juliette Low World Friendship Fund and Girl Scouts of the USA, organizes two Juliette Low Seminars during each triennium.

At this seminar we explored the theme of Values-Based Leadership in a setting which was diverse and international.

Drawing inspiration from Indian culture, the seminar encouraged participants to open their eyes to world around them as well as developing their leadership skills. Their experiences and development will benefit themselves, their Associations and the WAGGGS organization.

Juliette Low Seminars provide a platform for young women to:

  • Share views and experiences

  • Develop a sense of universal citizenship

  • Enhance leadership skills

  • Appreciate cultural differences

  • Broaden international understanding

  • Prepare for national and international leadership

So what happened? Read the Daily Updates!

During the Seminar, the young women participating posted daily updates to the Juliette Low Seminar page. Visitors to the web pages were encouraged to leave comments which were read out at the beginning of every day.

You can look at the photos of what happened during the seminar, read the daily diary entries and take part in the polls which each patrol posted as part of their update.
